Two travel hacks leading you across Travel Hack Bridge!

And we’re back with another edition of our unusual travel hacks!

For other travel hack columns, go to Part Thirteen and Part Fourteen and Part Fifteen and Part Sixteen and Part Seventeen and Part Eighteen and Part Nineteen and Part Twenty and Part Twenty-One and Part Twenty-Two and Part Twenty-Three and Part Twenty-Four and Part Twenty-Five and Part Twenty-Six and Part Twenty-Seven.

Here are our latest hacks:

Search for Codes

Before you buy anything online, always do a thorough — and AI-assisted — search for “coupon codes” and the company in question. That almost always provides some kind of discount code that you can plug in at checkout.

(And — repeating what I’ve said before — before you buy, always compare the website price to the one in the app, which will probably be cheaper.)

Get Free Phone and Cheap Data Service

In case you missed it, I recently spelled out our hack on getting free or nearly-free phone service, and a low-cost data plan for use all over the world. For worldwide phone and data, I pay less than $15 a month.

Buy Cheap eSIMs

Meanwhile, for price comparisons, here’s an eSIM aggregator.

Get the Best Travel Insurance

I also have a recent article outlining exactly how to get the best possible travel insurance.

Control Your Bladder

I’ve previously recommended that, while traveling, you should always “go” whenever you come across an available bathroom.

But experts say this is actually a bad idea — that it interferes with the communication between your brain and your bladder, and over time, you end up feeling like you have to go more often than you should. You’re literally teaching your bladder to hold less urine!

I hate to say it, but this resonates.

Fortunately, experts also say you can unlearn those bad habits by going less often — that it’s only a question of, yes, “mind over bladder.”
