Here are our latest hacks:
Rideshare apps like Uber use “dynamic pricing,” where the cost constantly fluctuates based on demand. How can you use this to your advantage? If you’re out with a friend or partner, both of you should get an Uber estimate — then opt for the price that’s lower.
If prices seem especially high, another option is to pick a slightly different pick-up point or to simply wait a few minutes and try again.
Too much work? Maybe, but Michael and I regularly save 10-30% on the cost of our rides.
(You can also opt for the cheaper Uber Pool group ride. But, I mean, duh.)
Travel with a rubber door stop, which can be used to prop open inside doors for ventilation or seal the outside door closed for extra security.
An American restaurant hack: if the restaurant serves fajitas for one, it’s always enough for two people. Always. But be clear: “We’ll just share the fajitas for one.”
Once it arrives, you can also ask for extra tortillas.
