Traveling with kids and you forgot a thermometer to find out if they’re feverish? Not to worry! Feeling their forehand with your hand is as accurate — or more accurate — than most thermometers anyway.
Lots of folks have written in to ask about travel insurance for folks older than 72 (which many companies refuse to insure). Allianz has plans for all ages: one plan goes up to 188 days, and another goes up to 365 days.
To get the cheapest plan, put in “$1” under “Total Trip Cost,” and you’ll end up with a Trip Cancellation coverage of $500 — the minimum. Also, they ask you to declare a single destination country, but you will be covered in all destinations that are not specifically excluded. (Before purchasing, confirm all details with the company.)
Apply antiperspirant before you go to bed. You can apply it in the morning too, but experts agree that it works much better if you’re not already sweating too much, which makes bedtime the ideal time. The following day, you’ll be dry as a desert.
And if your body has a bad reaction to plugging your sweat glands (as mine does)? For a basic deodorant, I find there’s nothing better than plain old Mennen Speed Stick.
