Mexican, Thai, and Indian are locked into my top 5 food countries list, and the other 2 positions tend to change. I'm glad I'm in Thailand reading this!

This is very very reasonable. And I haven't been to India yet! That make soon make my list.

What a great article on your adventures with Thai food. I’m reading this in bed, it’s near 11 PM and now I’m starving.!!!!❤️

That food all looks amazing! Is the secret related to fish sauce? Or the balance of sweet, salty and spicy?

Also, Indonesia also uses the spoon primarily...I think because it was a Dutch colony?

That is all part of it -- but not the secret I discovered! lol

Interesting, didn't know that about Indonesia!

I shouldn't have read this while I was hungry. South Asia is my favorite food! Never understood what people found so delicious about Mexican to be honest.

Well, clearly you haven't been the right restaurants! Next time we're both in Mexico City, it's a date. :-)

Love Thai food. But here to agree with your comment about Georgian food. I had an amazing dinner at a Georgian restaurant in Helsinki a few years ago. The food, the wine, all wonderful. Just looking at Google maps to recall where it was and am finding a whole bunch of Georgian restaurants in Helsinki now. Who,would have guessed!

Interesting! Must be some kind of community there. You're lucky though. Definitely try the Kinkhali dumplings -- they're the real highlight. Potato, mushroom, cheese, or meat!

Aw man this has made me yearn for Bangkok again - and Thai cooking! We used to make a lot back in the UK where authentic Thai ingredients are readily available but it's been much harder since being on the road.

You've just made me very hungry!

I hear ya. When we leave Thailand, I get cravings for this food, and American versions will just NOT do.

Hi Brent! I enjoyed your Thai food experience. We spend winters in Thailand, and we almost 100% street food. I read your comment that tamarind sometimes provides the sour notes in Thai food but your picture… I am looking!! Is actually stink bean not tamarind. If you read about it you will understand the difference lol.

Excited to read what your favorite is. We don't do spicy, it hurts my dear husband.

Haha, we're getting better, but mostly, yes. Can only go so far in that direction.

Truthfully, I found it a bit greasy. But I loved all the amazing Indian, Chinese, and Thai food in Malaysia. ❤️❤️❤️

Oh and thanks! 🙂
