What a wonderful way to explain what life is like for so many of us. I’ve always said the biggest insult you could give me is to call me “normal”. I never wanted to fit in and love those who chart their own path. So happy you found your tribe!

I'm with you, Jill. "Normal" is a bad word in my vocabulary! ;)

I'm more of a gnome rogue or half-elf ranger, myself, but a balanced party is important!

Absolutely essential. Every time we've tried a lop-sided party, it fails miserably.

Latest rules make clerics.mich more interesting but it's still a thankless job

When the rules (or DM) allow for Dwarven clerics, they're more fun, but they're either gimped on defense or healing. Hard to get a good balance.

Hey! I recognize those dice! (Okay, they belonged to my #1 offspring, but still….. that counts, doesn’t it?). Signed, still sitting at the nerds’ table.

Definitely counts! And that means you did your job as a parent right, IMHO.
