What a wonderful way to explain what life is like for so many of us. I’ve always said the biggest insult you could give me is to call me “normal”. I never wanted to fit in and love those who chart their own path. So happy you found your tribe!
Hey! I recognize those dice! (Okay, they belonged to my #1 offspring, but still….. that counts, doesn’t it?). Signed, still sitting at the nerds’ table.

I'm with you, Jill. "Normal" is a bad word in my vocabulary! ;)
I second that, Jill !!
Thank you :-)
Ha! Nice. Thank you for the lovely words.
Loved this. Thanks for everything that goes into your writing!
Thank you! Really appreciate that.
As a fellow Dungeons and Dragons-playing, introverted, dorky Misfit Toy, I fully endorse this Theory!
My sixth level elf necromancer and I thank you very much!
I'm more of a gnome rogue or half-elf ranger, myself, but a balanced party is important!
Absolutely essential. Every time we've tried a lop-sided party, it fails miserably.
The worst is when nobody wants to be the healer!
Latest rules make clerics.mich more interesting but it's still a thankless job
When the rules (or DM) allow for Dwarven clerics, they're more fun, but they're either gimped on defense or healing. Hard to get a good balance.
Lovely piece in all ways! How wonderful when you find your Island of fellow misfits.
Thank you, Karen. Wonderful of you to say!

Definitely counts! And that means you did your job as a parent right, IMHO.
Thank you, Victoria. :-)
