I had the same question when we were there! But we didn't even see 001 Dalmatians in nearly a month. Thanks for clearing some of the mystery up!

Great article and loved the pictures. I honestly never even thought about where Dalmatians originated from. But i am a Golden Retriever loyalist myself.

Dear Brent and Michael: I really enjoyed this article about the Damnations, excuse me, the Dalmatians. The last 2 dogs I had were a pair of spotted heathen brothers. I got them for my 2 daughters as Christmas presents back in 1995. I had always wanted Dalmatians ever since I saw the Disney movie. 25 years later, I had the chance. So, I brought these 2 little puppies home. About a year later, I queried myself with the question, "What was I thinking?" Many of the facts you shared about the breed was witnessed by me. They are extremely energetic, require a lot of exercise, have multiple medical problems, and are not good family dogs. However, I did not let them leave until I came out and moved out. The first thing my now ex-wife said to me after coming out and I was packing to leave was, "Take your dogs! I don't want them". Luckily, one went to live on a big farm and the other one found a home with a loving family. But, I had my fill with dogs by then, so I never adopted one again.
