This is great stuff - no fooling - and I can see why you both are professional writers. The line about people today being too stupid to know what is or isn’t stupid…up there with Twain. Bravo, and hope to see you in Greenland when that country begins recruiting foreign aid.
I figured there would be no way to tell actual news from April Fool's jokes. In the past, a sense of the absurd, a fake-sounding name, a scientifically impossible claim--those things would tip us off that, "Hey, this story isn't real!" But nowadays those tests don't work!
🤣😥😡♥️

Thank you! We appreciate that very much.

Does anybody else think that Kennedy and Alfred E. Neuman look like they're related?

Yeah, it seems a LOT of writers are saying, "I'm all for April Fool's Day, but these jokes in the U.S. Government just ain't funny!"
It's also impossible to parody these folks. They are literally beyond parody!
Too funny and too sadly true. What a mess we're in.
Yes. Sighhhh.
Great post! As someone who used to celebrate April 1st as a special holiday to have fun, this year it felt redundant.
Yeah, it felt really wrong making jokes right now.
