Several months ago, Michael and I debated where we should nomad later this year. The mostly likely scenario was a plan to spend time in Japan, then Hong Kong, then take a cruise across the Pacific to Australia and New Zealand.
At the same time, we acknowledged that with all the uncertainty in the world, we couldn’t be sure where we’d end up.
Turns out that at least the second thing we said was true. In fact, Japan’s borders are still closed to tourists (though that will probably soon change).
As a result, after a brief stay in Seattle (our hometown), we’ve decided to head back to Europe. Later this week, we’ll be landing in Sitges, Spain, for a few weeks.
From nearby Barcelona, we’re then catching a cruise ship around the Mediterranean for two weeks, then landing in Athens, Greece, where we’ll live for a month. After that, we’re meeting some old friends in Como, Italy, on Lake Como (not George and Amal, alas).
