Could not answer "all" on some. I enjoy all of your posts, not just travel related but could not indicate that. You have addressed so many of the thoughts we have had while being out and about (especially liked your post about going to countries that are hard to tolerate politically (oh, yes and now that includes the US) as we have avoided them so far. And while I have specific areas that we wander through, I could not select where I would like to read about it because I don't have to be going there to read about a place. You all do a great job.

Thanks so much, Patricia! The whether or not to visit certain countries is tricky, more so now given what's goin on in the U.S.

I enjoyed answering and seeing the results. I usually expected the percentage, but I was surprised by how many read in email vs the app! “What is your favourite type of travel experience to read about,” was hard to answer. I like the variety.

Thanks, Nolan. Some of the results have surprised me as well!

Exciting times ahead. We purchased a small condo in Portland Oregon for the summers, still be in PS in winter and still travel in shoulder seasons. Remember we are 78 years old now. Roger & Ron

I LOVED Taiwan. The best Chinese food, gay friendly, plenty of culture, easy to get around Taipei...and that was back in 2000. The national museum has some of the most precious Chinese artifacts in the world.

I loved Taiwan too! Was there in the early 1990s. Try and go beyond Taipei if you get the opportunity - the countryside is beautiful.

Yes. The National Palace Museum is my favorite in the world. I never have enough time to see all that I want to see of it. There’s so much else to do in Taipei. The modern art museum is wonderful, too. The temples and the night markets and the easy transportation everywhere. ❤️ It’s all wonderful.

That was a loud and clear holler, LOL 🤣 Tell me, is this going to be your first time in HK? I will gather some ideas based on your answer and any particular area of interest. I think its great you're spending close to a month there coz that way you can get to experience the city beyond the touristy stuff. May I DM you on Substack?

My husband and I did the Ozette Triangle hike based on your newsletter recommendation, and loved it! Totally worth for the drive and remote location… Other people hiking, but not too many on the day we were there.

I can't wait to read about your time in Taiwan. It's a place I really want to visit before any potential invasion by China. Unfortunately, that part of the world is harder on our work schedule. We worked from Thailand this past winter and the hours killed us so we don't have any plans to visit that part of the world again for a while. We love Asia, though, and can't wait to go back. I'll be living vicariously through your articles for the rest of this year!

We loved Taiwan. It was so easy to take the train around the island. I highly recommend it. Let me know if you want suggestions. Also they have a lottery for foreigners. Apply before you arrive. You can use the funds at any 7/11 which are the best. Just like Japan. Enjoy!

This sounds amazing! You are living my husband's and my dream travel life right now. We can't do Asia until our senior pups cross the rainbow bridge (and I'm hoping that is still a way's away), but I'll be using you as a reference guide once we do make it to that part of the world.

We are heading down to Argentina for 6 months in September, though, and our pups are going with us, so we're super excited for that. I'll definitely fill out your survey when I get a chance. Safe and happy travels, Brent and Michael!

Can't wait for this Asia arc! ☺️

Will you guys be in China during the Golden Week (1st-8th October, biggest holidays in China, lots of crowds)? I have myself a China trip planned from 25th September to mid-October, and after reading scary Reddit threads about traveling during GW, I don't know anymore 🥺

Can't wait to read your emails about Taipei! It's one of my fav places to nomad. I'll be heading there end of October for Halloween Pride 🏳️‍🌈👻 and stay there a few months!

WE WILL BE THERE AND I AM SO EXCITED I CAN'T WAIT!!! LOL

I know it will be crowded, but I absolutely love festivals and holidays like this. In fact, we specifically made sure our time in Hong Kong overlapped with that week. Maybe I can attend this year and you can decide whether to go based on what we think.

I'd love to hear what you love so much about Taipei!
