I love everything about this essay: the ease, the joy and the genuine enthusiasm for good things for good people. Thank you so much

The world is indeed a better place for places, and people, like this. I’m gonna tell them you sent me.

Wonderful story. Not only do I love Indian food, the offbeat location is right up my alley (accidental pun). I almost feel like flying to Hong Kong just to eat at this place!

So true. I always remember the restaurant when it was more than just the basics. It's a rare thing! And those pictures of the food are killing me..

I really like your approach, as well. It’s easy to get exasperated, but you seemed to take it as an adventure rather than full-on annoyance.

This is what I call true “Customer Experience”—for years, I worked for a business unit with that name at a Fortune 100 company but let me tell you, just like all the catchy marketing phrases of Corporate America, the meaning of these two words never went pass the name—and, it is really not that hard to deliver, if you truly believe in it and sincerely working on delivering it.

Bravo to the owner(s)!

Totally agree. I do think the "personal touch" needs an actual person. But other than that, it's not that hard!
