I, too, had my mind blown by Alaska. Took Ruby the van up the Alcan hwy a couple falls back and spent two months exploring--which was not enough, but heavily falling snow had it’s decided say in my exit plans. The Alcan is gorgeous and remote and largely without service. I loved every minute of it. But I didn’t fancy forging it in a storm.
And like you, I’m fascinated with the alien world of glaciers. That sound! My god. I even jumped in a blue pool of a glacier in Wrangell-St. Elias NP. Not for the faint of heart! 🥶 But incredibly invigorating.
That cruise through Kenai Fjord from Seward was amazing!
Thank you much for stirring the memories--a two-fold reminder that I must return one day and to write about my experiences there!
At 74 travel opportunities are shrinking - since I've been to Antarctica, Alaska has gone to a back burner.
I would live to have my mind blown by Alaska! Thank you for sharing your experiences 🤩
Wow, love it
Michael, what cruise line did you choose?
That was with Norwegian. We didn't love them.

Wow, sounds like you had an amazing time there!
On my bucket list!
My friend was killed from falling ice while on a kayak trip. It does happen.
I'm so so sorry to hear that.
