Amazing, I could feel your fear building with the increase in bear numbers! Brilliant. And what an experience. The closest experience I’ve had to that was camping and canoeing the beautiful lakes of Algonquin park, Canada. There were bears in the vicinity but we never saw any. Trip of a lifetime!
that cabin location sounds dreamy to me! although my husband Alan, who is afraid of most wild animals but in particular brown bears, would barricade himself in the cabin the entire time 😂
It sounds like a spectacular place to stay. <3
Oh gosh, Brent, this was both beautiful and hilarious - thank you for such glorious writing! The bear count was an EPIC touch... 🤣🐻🙌
Very entertaining. One of your best entries. Mirrors some of my experiences in Alaska.
Love this!! It felt like I was there with you.

What a fun read--glad that encounter turned out to be magical rather than terrifying!
The escalating number of bears really propels the piece -- and makes you laugh. Well done.
Sounds like an awesome trip.
What a great story and a wonderful experience!
