Substack Has a New Feature We Think You'll Like
We love connecting with our readers, and now it's a lot easier.
Today we’re announcing a brand new addition to our Substack publication: the Brent and Michael Are Going Places subscriber chat.
This is a feature in the new Substack app, and we’ve now set it up exclusively for our subscribers. It’s kind of like a live hangout or a Twitter feed, except we guarantee it won’t have any of the nastiness common on so many other platforms.
We really do like social media — especially Michael — and here we’re going to share photos of the places we’re visting, links to stories, articles, and other Substacks we think you might enjoy, and probably some fun stuff we haven’t thought of yet.
And anytime we post something, you can jump into the discussion — to ask a question or contribute your own response.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email — this is separate from our newsletter itself. You can also turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Again, Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
Yay, so excited for this! I saw they just added it for Android, so I'm stoked.
I'm eager to see how you use this. I think I might start using it as a secondary IG/ Twitter/ Post account so I can share those fun details with my subscribers.
