Attention Digital Nomads: Ryan Air Announces Cheap Flights To Tbilisi, Georgia
As much as we love Tbilisi, Georgia as a digital nomad destination, it’s typically been very expensive and inconvenient to fly to.
That changes this November when low-cost carrier Ryan Air will begin service between Tbilisi and Milan (Bergamo), Italy four times a week. They’re also starting flights between a second Georgian city, Kutaisi, to both Bologna, Italy, and Marseille, France twice a week.
In April of 2020, they’ll start twice weekly flights between Tbilisi and Cologne, Germany.
Even better, Ryan Air has launched a seat sale with fares starting from €9.99 for travel in November and December if booked by Friday August 23. Unfortunately, that €9.99 fare doesn’t apply to any of the new Georgian routes, but scanning through the site I did spot one-way fares as low as €21. That sure beats the more than €200 both Georgian Airways and Turkish Airlines charge. And in a final bit of good news, unlike Georgian Airways flights from Bologna, Italy, to Tbilisi, Ryan Air arrives at 22:20, two hours before Georgian Airways.
If you’ve been wanting to go to Tbilisi, but have hesitated because of the cost, you can finally stop worrying and head for Georgia.
